Welcome!

Hey! Welcome to my first official blog post on my first official site for my first official company! It’s been such a journey getting here and I know there’s a lot of work to still be done but I’m so excited to get started.

While most of the people reading this will probably be my close friends and family, I thought I’d start with talking about how this all began. When I first graduated college, I took the first job I got at a small agency in my Norwalk and absolutely HATED it. Taking that job may have been one of the best things ever though- yes I’m a hopeless optimist…annoying right? The job had drained me so much it was affecting my personal life. I stopped doing the things I enjoyed like photography, working with animals, visiting my friends, etc. Something in me realized I needed to make a change so I walked into work one day, wrote my resignation letter, and never looked back.

In my time off, I was able to fall in love again with photography and content creation, while I figured out what to do next. And that’s when I started freelancing. At the time I had no clue what the word even meant, but that one word has had such a profound impact on my life and career. With 2 years of freelancing experience under my belt, here we are! Me with my own LLC, now a website, and nothing but excitement for the future.

I know this is a work in progress, but the moment I started working on a website, I knew it would have a blog attached to it. So often I get asked for advice and I figured this would be such a great way to share! Nothing makes me happier than being able to share my experience and knowledge with others- and I hope this blog will inspire and provide guidance to anyone who reads it. I never had a mentor or someone that I could look to far advice when it came to starting my own business, so I hope to be a reference to anyone out there who may be in a similar situation. If you ever have any questions or ideas for blog posts, send them my way! I want this blog to be a resource that people can use, so I want to create content that YOU are interested in.

Thank you so much for joining me on this journey and I will be back soon!
